Plant Nanny, which won best app of 2013, helps people remember to drink water. Do many people need that? YES!  I often see the effects of dehydration in my acupuncture practice.  True fact…we are 70% water, and it needs to be replenished.

Drink Water

Dehydration leads to all sorts of problems, including headaches, stomachaches, fatigue, foggy thinking, constipation and more. Many people just don’t drink during the day, for a variety of reasons, and many more grab a soda or coffee. Sadly, neither of these hydrate effectively, and in large quantities, contribute to a host of other problems.

So along comes Plant Nanny. This clever little app makes it fun to drink water, with adorable little cartoon plants that grow when “watered.” The app also sends you reminders to drink, combining health with fun. Apparently it’s working well.  According to my online research, millions of people worldwide are using this app!

Here’s an excerpt from a testimonial I found online from one happy Plant Nanny advocate…

Everything you do is an achievement, something to be proud of. Every time you drink water, the app tells you how great you’re doing. Worried you’ll forget to keep hydrated? The app gives you reminders catered to your schedule. But I’ve never had that problem. You will become so emotionally attached to these adorable plants that you’ll do anything to keep them happy and hydrated. You get to name them, and choose their pots and surroundings. It’s amazing! But it’s not only the concept that’s adorable. The graphics are fantastic too! Plant Nanny is amazing, and has changed my life. I recommend it to all of my friends and family members, and now I’m recommending it to you.

Spring Children’s Book

And not related to health at all….well, unless you consider it healthy to share special time and stories with your children and grandchildren…I know I do…I just wanted to remind you about my children’s book, “Little Bunny Bed,” beautifully illustrated by Venessa Kelly. Perfect for Easter and Spring and available on Amazon.

More to come,

Wishing you all the best,
