An App for the Ladies!

Many variations of fertility and period tracking apps exist now to help women keep track of their monthly cycles. This really comes in handy. It’s so easy to forget to count the days and get caught unprepared, or not realize that those unexplained tears are actually hormonally induced.

Additionally, knowing where you are in the fertility cycle by tracking and recording various bodily signals helps with planning or avoiding pregnancy. That’s empowering.

Acupuncture Treatment Plans

I regularly ask my female patients about their periods. The length of the cycle and various symptoms associated with the cycle, like headaches, moodiness, pain, bloating or cramping, gives me diagnostic information that I incorporate into acupuncture treatment plans. Many women pull out their handy app where they have the information recorded. So easy.

And some of the apps have reminders to take birth control pills. That’s certainly important since missing even one pill can diminish the effectiveness of the medication.

Highly recommended apps include “Glow,” “Period Tracker” and “Fertility Friend.” There are others. Check them out and see which one looks good to you!

More to come!

Wishing you all the best,
