You will need an electric blender to make these.
1. Here’s a good one..full of anti-oxidants (from dark-colored berries) and lean protein from low-fat yogurt. This is an easy way to enjoy healthy calories first thing in the morning, getting your day off to a good start.
Blend 1/2 cup low-fat plain or peach yogurt with 1/4 cup unsweetened, natural apple juice or cider. Then add one cup fresh blackberries, 1/2 cup sliced, fresh peaches, and one fresh or frozen banana. Add honey or maple syrup if you need some sweetener. Continue to blend until smooth.
2. Here’s another one…so easy…so nutritious…so full of vitamin C and antioxidants.
Blend 1/2 cup low-fat plain, blueberry or cherry yogurt with 1/4 cup unsweetened cranberry juice. Add one cup of sliced, fresh cherries and 3/4 cup fresh blueberries. Blend until smooth.
3. And if it looks like a little summer cold might be coming your way, check out this little combo, full of vitamin C as well as digestive enzymes from papaya.
Blend one cup of fresh squeezed orange juice and one cup sliced strawberries. Then add 3/4 cup diced papaya and one fresh or frozen banana. Blend until smooth.
